Chum Bum

Name Chum Bum
Category Salmon
Hook TMC 7999, Sz. 2/0, Weighted
Tail Chartreuse Bucktail
Body Chartreuse Estaz Chenille
Wing Red Marabou, Wound
Collar Wound Chartreuse Marabou, Slightly Shorter than the Red
Head Chartreuse Thread

I developed this fly several years ago for the late Chum runs on the Puget Sound Rivers and it has been very successful in different variations. The original was tied with a chartreuse saddle hackle. This one is weighted for bigger waters, but this can be varied as well, depending on the speed and depth of the water you are fishing.
