Scotty's Notes: The Kalama Special was designed by Mooch Abrams of Portland OR. While it was intended as a fly for Cutthroats, renowned angler Mike Kennedy fished it extensively (and very successfully) for Steelhead on the famed Kalama river. This bright Northwest 'classic' is still an effective pattern for just about any water and light conditions.
