Step 3
1. Place the furled J-Rig on the top of the hook shank so that the trailing hook is about 3.5 inches from the eye of the hook and wrap thread forwards and backwards to secure (See Note below). Note: I construct a furled J-Rig (Stinger) using the Don Johnson method described in his article The Art of Articulation: Simplified Stingers. There are several alternate methods of doing this, including the Ed Ward method or using Waddington Shanks. 2. Additionally secure stinger to shank with a few drops of super glue. |
