Clark's E Dee, A Clark Lucas Original

Pattern: Clark's "E" Dee

Hook: Partridge Code N 4/0 Lowwater Medium Weight

Thread: White to the head then Black Griffon's 14/0

Tag: Embossed Gold flat medium Tinsel

Tail: Blue dyed GP crest under natural GP tip then Black Herl 1/2 stripped

Rib:1/2 large Oval tinsel countered with fine oval gold over palmered Bill Morrison's hot pink dyed Emu with black ostrich herl at 1/2

Body: Purple Floss ribbed by large Oval gold and small Oval tinsel continued with silver fine oval countered

Hackle: At start of Purple floss Black Blue-eared Pheasant (Morrison) large over large Oval tinsel

Throat: Flaceated Teal (John Shewey) with drooped Jungle Cock

Wing: Purple dyed Turkey strip(Jim Watling) tied with left strip tied first with reversed thread for last strip tied flat (Tannatt).

Clark's “E” Dee was tied by Contributing Fly Tyer, Clark Lucas, who began showing his flies on this site in 1999.
