We are continuing here with the amazing Tube Fly creations from the vise of new Contributing Fly Tyer, Jurij (Yuri) Shumakov. You can see more of Yuri's flies at The Flies of Jurij (Yuri) Shumakov. See his notes below.

YURI'S NOTES: Templedog is a common name for the big family of flies now described as Scandinavian style. Templedogs are extremely successful flies and catch fish all around the World. Once I've seen Tempeldog and Classic transformers such as Black Green Highlander tied by Swedish fly-tier Hakan Norling who developed this style, I became "sick on all my head", I think, for the rest of my life. Body hackle on the original Tempeldog ties within the whole body. Colour of the wing can be different from pattern to pattern.

For information about the tubes Yuri uses to tie his flies and for more of his patterns, read his article in the Rackelhanen Flyfishing Magazine.
