Dark Reunion is the fourth and final chapter of the Vampire Diaries Trilogy (go figure). No one knows whether it was always intended to be written and just released later than the original three, or whether it was written because so many people wanted more of the gang. I think people just hated the ending of The Fury so much that they wrote to her and she wrote it to please her fans. It really doesn't matter to me what the reason it was written for...I'm just glad it was written period!!

Dark Reunion takes place about six months after Elena's death and the upheavel of Fell's Church. Stefan and Damon have gone back home to Florance. Bonnie, Meredith, and Matt have gone on with school...and they made up with Caroline Forbes too. Well, Bonnie being psychic and all, she is able to communicate with Elena via the Ouija Board which spells trouble (haha).

So Stefan and Damon come back to Fell's Church after getting a "call" from Bonnie. They have to battle the new evil in Fell's Church. This time sans the help of the now infamous Elena Gilbert.

Favorite Scenes

The scene in Florance where Damon is peeling an orange. I don't understand it, why would a vamp want an orange of all things?...I would eat chocolate or something, but it's been the focal point of a series of humours and sexual jokes between my L.J. friends that make me laugh out loud.(60)

Okay, you just have to love the scene where they all see Damon in the parking lot of the school. Ferrari and mirror shades! Classic entrance. John Wayneish.(72)

The part where Stefan gets Bonnie to let him talk to Elena...I cied so hard!! He builds her up and doesn't care if she's ugly! (187-205)

The part where Matt, Bonnie and Meredith are laughing at Stefan and making fun of him for calling then "stupid humans". I laughed out loud at this part.(232)

Yeah, just about the whole end scene was out of this world as far as L.J. books go. Best part in all the books!

Favorite Quotes

Damon-"Why not relax and join the winning side? It's much more fun I assure you." (62) I don't agree with this at all...but it's still a witty remark.

Bonnie-"All we have to do is relieve him of one of his members."
Meredith-"I can think of one right off."(162)

Bonnie-"I think he borrrowed it from Damon. 'Get this strait, I don't need any of you!'(232) I roared!

AND THE BEST L.J. LINE OF THEM ALL...
DRUM ROLL PLEASE

Damon-"Get away from my brother"(252)

Final Notes

There's not too much I can say about the best books every written. I never cried so hard in my life after reading them. Bubbles were actually coming out of my lips. I was depressed for at least a month. And they aren't even that well written!! GO figure! I read these babies 7 years ago...and they still haunt my mind even now. I swear that L.J. puts spells on her books that make people obsess over them. It's too bizarre. You can get Dark Reunion and all the rest of L.J.'s books at the bookstore because they are mostley all in reprint. Get them!! Don't pass up The Vampire Diaries for ANYTHING!
