July's treasure, lavender. Ah yes, the fragrant aroma of lavender. It's said to relax you and we can attest to that! We spent the mid July Sunday visiting the farms in the Sequim area of Washington. As you can see, there were more flowers than just the lavender, but the lavender was definitely the star. We also got to sample lavender ice cream and lavender cookies. The lavender gives it a minty taste with just the hint of lavender at the end. Pretty good stuff, and something we wouldn't have thought of trying. We also had some lavender lemonade which Judy liked. Did you know there's over 50 types of lavender? Neither did we, but we sure learn a lot on our road trips. Cutting Garden farm.
