Direct Family (in Neighbours):
Rosie (Grandmother),
Summer (sister),
Max (Dad)
Other info: Mum is dead
Boyd is Rosie's grandson and was first seen with her in Neighbours. Boyd
started having extra tutoring from Libby shortly after arriving in
Erinsborough due to trouble at school . When he attended an 'animal
blessing' at the church with Rosie a fox was left behind and Boyd insisted
that he look after it and try and find its owner. Harold allowed him to keep
it in his garden for just over a week, during which time Boyd became
attached to his new pet. When the time came that he had to give it to the
animal shelter, he took it to a shed next to the allotments instead, which
had been suggested in an anonymous note from the fox's owner. It turned out
that the original owner was Cecile Bliss - Dione's sister - and she came to
talk to Boyd about the fox. Boyd and Cecile only managed to keep the fox a
secret for a little while though, because the Roxy (the fox) became unwell.
On their way to the vet they bumped into Lou and Harold who were angry at
Boyd's betrayal. The vet told them that Roxy should be put down. however,
they find a place for her at a local petting zoo, and Boyd is relieved.
When Boyd's father Max arrived in Neighbours, on a break from his job on an
oil rig Boyd is glad to see him, although very bitter that he must leave
again. On Rosie's advice, Max decides to quit his job and move to
Erinsborough to take care of his children. He gets a job (and eventually a
partnership) in the pub and buys number 32 Ramsay Street for his family.
As Max was a keen cricketer he was determined to get his son into the game
and Boyd voiced his displeasure to sister Summer about being forced to go
to cricket training. However, he soon began to enjoy the game and was quite
good at it.
As Boyd developed into a rebellious teenager he also got his first
girlfriend, Heather and despite interference from his mates causing
confusion and arguments between them the relationship lasted.
However, he was less enthusiastic about Max's relationship with neighbour
Steph whom he refuses to see as a 'replacement' Mum and this leads to rows
between he and his father even though Steph tries her hardest to bond with
him through surfing. Due to new family pressure, Boyd starts to rebel
against his father, lying about his whereabouts in order to attend Connor's
party and he came close to shoplifting whilst out shopping. Are things going
to get worse before they get better?
