By the time I got treatment much of the damage was already permanent.

From 1992 untill 1996 I was on massive doses of antibiotics. Just when there started to be some improvement the CDC made my doctor stop treating late stage Lyme and told her to tell her patients that they were cured of Lyme and now had Fibromyalgia.

I don't know what they threatened her with, but whatever it was made her drop her late stage Lyme patients like hot rocks.

Some were even subjected to verbal abuse from this doctor who promised she would stick by us no matter what.

I now suffer from Fibromyalgia, Type 2 Diabetes, severe Restless Leg Syndrome, Congestive Heart Failure, have been told that I probably have Multiple Sclerosis.

I am not able to hold a job, or to plan ahead for anything because I never know when my body will let me down. If I get more than 2 hours of sleep a night I am doing good. Please do not buy into the propaganda that Lyme is a mild, easily treated disease! Lyme disease is going to kill me someday. The government and the medical community could care less!
