 My Profile: NAME: Desiree Nicole ... Oh shoot! I forget! NICKNAME: Des, Babe, Daisy, um... AGE: 15 DATE OF BIRTH: 02-14-86 CURRENT RESIDENCE: On the Suncoast of FL, north of Tampa SCHOOL: Homeschooled! Yeah! GRADE: 11th (01-02 school year) FAMILY OF: 8; Dad, mom, me, Allen [boy, 11], Artemas [boy, 8], Diantha [girl, 5], Veronica [girl, 2] and Josiah [boy, almost a year.] MY INTERESTS: Making money, ROTFL. (jk) Writing would probably be my main interesting. I currently write for a small, Christian magazine for girls called "Faith." And I'm planning on submitting articles to larger Christian magazines, but haven't gotten around to it yet. ALL TIME TOP FAVORITE THING TO DO: Spend time with my friends! Definitely!! You guys are all the greatest group of people a person could ever hope to know! And I'm *so* glad that God put you in my life! FAVORITE MUSIC: My favorite type(s) of music are Comtemporary Christian, and Christian Rock! : ) My favorite artists are: NEWSBOYS!!! dcTalk, Jars of Clay, Petra, and Queen. FAVORITE SONGS: hmm...let's see: All Been Ready, dcTalk Always, Newsboys When The Wind Blows, Point of Grace '39, Queen We are the Champions (beautiful song!), Queen The Boys are Back in Town, Thin Lizzy Okay, so yes, those last couple songs aren't Christian, and the one by Thin Lizzy isn't exactly a "favorite," but at the moment, it's one I like. : ) There are tons of others, but I don't have any of my CDs handy to list them. READING: I absolutely LOVE fiction, probably a few of the best books I've ever read have been Deadline, Edge of Eternity and Lord Foulgrin's Letters, all by Randy Alcorn and my favorite authors: Randy Alcorn, Frank Peretti, Janette Oke and Judith Pella. MISC. STUFF ABOUT ME: Ah...I love to write. I've written several children's stories, and I've finally finished a book designed for kids ages 12-14. I started writing when I was about 11 yrs old, by writing children's stories for my siblings. As far as sports go, I love to watch football, and occasionally play it with my friends, and I like to swim. Mom's currently teaching me French, and I LOVE it! I have an extremely outgoing personality, and I'll "do just about anything as long as [I] think it'll be fun," to quote one of my best friends. FUTURE PLANS: To go to college and become a journalist. Although lately I've been doing some serious praying about going on a missions trip, at this point in my life, I don't feel a particular "call" to do more in that field. Mainly right now, I'm working on getting as many journalism credits as I can (through running an online newsletter and a couple other things.) Read my answers to a survey |
