Zoren Castle used to have an additional feature, it was called "Fighters of the Glade". Fighters of the Glade was pretty much a carbon copy Redwall club, you could submit stories, art, do quests (commonly named 'missions'), and sign up for a PALS chapter.

I started Zoren Castle off with Fighters of the Glade in 1998, it wasn't much, but it was a start. The club grew popular after a little while, with a HUGE list of members. Soon after my member list started growing, I added a system where you could earn points, making membership in the club more of a challenge.

This new change caused a participation spurt, people were quite eager to earn points and keep their names at the top of the members page. Different things earned you a different number of points, and members loved to gain these points. However, as my time spent online and updating grew less, member participation dwindled.

With dying member participation, and little to no time to update, I decided to close Fighters of the Glade. However, even though I closed the club, I decided it would be nice to post some of the old quests and other member work.

Members-
Without the members of Fighters of the Glade, we really wouldn't have a had a club. Most people participated a little to a lot, while some just signed up and I never heard from them again. Still, I have compiled a list of all of the members that were in Fighters of the Glade at closing, click here to see.

Quests-
Among some of the things members could do to earn stars, quests were second only to winning contests in the amount of stars you could get. Doing a quest could earn a whole star, and they were very popular when they were started. The quests dealt with all sorts of subjects, from the typical Redwall club topics, to mystical subjects (such as unicorns, dragons, and even our very own wallyoopusez). I called them quests, because in most Redwall clubs they were named missions. Although it was hardly original, I thought they'd be fun to have, even by another name. However, when member participation died down, so did the quest writing. On this page, I will give links to present all of the quests that members completed, so if you feel like reading how the members took care of problems at the castle, sit back and relax, here they are!

Stories- Even before the ranking system was set up, members could submit stories for others to read. The submitting didn't really pick up until the ranking system was created, but there were still a few stories. On this page I've posted all of the stories that members have submitted over the time of the castle. They are divided on five different pages, sit back and enjoy!

The Ranking System-
Every club had it's own ranking system, and so did Fighters of the Glade. We had five different ranks: Guard, Warden, Quester, Firetamer, and Stormchaser. To get into a rank, you had to get five stars, and then you were moved up.
When rewarded a new rank, you recieved an image of a small ribbon to show everyone that you were in that rank. No one every made it past the "Guard" rank.
To recieve stars, there was a very *small* number of things that I provided the members to do. Here they are-
Stories- For every two stories submitted, one star was recieved
Artwork- for every three pictures, one star was recieved
Quizzes- for every four quizzes, one star was recieved
Quests- for every completed quest, a star was recieved
Winning Contest Entries- being the lucky winner of a contest earned two stars
