This is a simple introduction to the anticipated course in JavaScript. There is a chance the course will never fully make it online, but I'll try. (Hand coding all my HTML is a bad habit of mine.) By the way, if you don't already know how to type fairly well (at least 40 wpm), I would highly recommend for you to work on this area. After writing probably a million lines of code myself I can agree that practice makes perfect. :-)
To start with, I'll show some fun things to get you less scared, and hopefully get you thinking about doing more. Then, in later lessons, I'll delve into more theoretical and complex aspects of scripting with JavaScript. You can always try out your scripts instantly by using the “Run Scripts” link at the top of the page.

Most JavaScript examples given do not distinguish between the changes in JavaScript from version 1.0 to 1.2. Since easily 90+ percent of user agents support version 1.2 of JavaScript, this distinction has become obsolete.
