Encrypting your Message
Enter your message into the box, with anything to be encrypted marked with <encrypt> and </encrypt> tags around it. (These tags must be the inner-most enclosing tags.) To encrypt with additional strength, set an attribute named 'over' to a value other than an empty string e.g. <encrypt over="1">. Mark-up instructions define what happens when Process Mark-up Instructions is clicked; do not change anything between encrypting and decrypting. Note that all message content must conform to strict XML mark-up standards.
Decrypting a Message
The proper instructions are automatically inserted into the mark-up resulting from encryption, so there is nothing for you to do before decrypting a message.
The security of the encryption routine used by PLE is not guaranteed in any way, shape, or form. It offers reasonable security, given the intercepting party does not know about this page. PLE is not designed as a substitute for discretion with your personal information, nor is it recommended as an alternative to a secure server connection. By using this service, you are accepting full responsibility for any effects your use causes.

The encryption routine used, as well as the XML parser and mark-up scheme were developed separately by Joseph K. Myers, owner/creator of the MyersDaily website dedicated to the spread of information and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The separate elements were combined on June 17, 2000 and posted to the web.
