Installing Zeppo's Configuration Manager

Installing Zeppo's Configuration Manager depends upon which version you downloaded. I've made a self installer for each of the configuration managers, Close Combat 2 thru Close Combat 5.

If you chose these files, Installing Zeppo's Configuration Manager is pretty painless, just download the file, double click on it, and it will place the program in your Program files under the directory Zeppo. It also places shortcuts to the programs in your start menu as well as your desktop if you like. This is the easiest way to install any of the 4 configuration managers. I highly recomend using these self installers.

Yes I've downloaded and used the self Installers, take me to the next step.

IMPORTANT - You must have the full install of Close Combat installed for plugin files to work.

If you've chosen to download the original Zip file, then there's a bit more to it than simply a double click.

Shown below is the method you need to follow to properly install the configuration manager.

***One very important note. All of the examples of WinZip are using the "Classic interface" not the wizard, as you have greater control with the classic interface. If you normally use the wizard, for ease in using these graphical instructions, click on "WinZip Classic". When you are finished, if you wish to go back to the wizard, click on options, then configuration, then click on the Miscellaneous tab, then check the box that says "next time start with the wizard interface".

1.) Download and save Zeppo's zip file in a location you can find. For ease I recommend My Documents.

2.) While the file is downloading you can go ahead and decide where you are going to install the program to, and make the appropriate directory. For this example we will make a directory inside C:\Program Files named Zeppo. So do that now. Using explorer browse to your C:\ drive, then click on Program Files, then in the right window, right click and select new then folder, and name it Zeppo.

3.) Once the download is finished, go to the zip file, and double click on it. Depending on which zip utility you use, you will now see a screen such as below.

4.) Now we are at a spot where we can go one of two ways, one easier than the other, and much more useful I may add. It depends on if you have the current version of WinZip, or an older copy. In the newest version there is the CheckOut option, and on older versions I am not so sure if it's available or not. See the graphic below and go from there.

Yes I have the CheckOut feature and would like to use it

No I do not have the check out option
