Top Man, and it's brother club, Your Place, are my favorite
places to while away the hours. They are Thai-owned, super
clean, with genuine boys, good drinks and great prices. At the
bottom of the page is a link to the most up-to-date map of
Patpong gay clubs. The map is courtesy of Parn from Top Man,
and thanks to Jim Pratt, can be downloaded with Adobe
Acrobat Reader. Now, how many clubs have a map showing the
locations of the competition? That's the kind of guy Parn is.
Beware imitations--There is only one Top Man Bar (Bangkok--
Silom Soi 2).

Up the stairs at the end of the alley gets you admission to this bar. Sit in
the luxurious pit in front of the stage, or higher up at the back for an overall
view. Note the small alter where the boys often pray. Enjoy the new sound
system, the dancing and friendly, non-pushy companionship, if that is your
desire. And don't forget the fluorescent paint show which has to be seen!

If you like the place and want to return several times during your trip, Parn
suggests buying a "Set." Basically, you are purchasing a bottle of booze,
which will be kept at the bar for up to a month. This gives you more than
30 drinks--and you can share them with boys and guests. Some examples
of Set prices are:

Sangsaem Whiskey: 900n Bt.

Black Label Whiskey: 1800 Bt.

Parn is very amenable. He has never done this for rum, but will arrange a
price with a guest.

Your Place is the old "Charley's Bar" and is in the same soi (alley) as Top
Man. You'll see it on your right, about 10 meters from TM. The club has been
completely renovated and is much brighter and more cheerful than the old bar.

It is a cool and restful place to rendevous with new friends before heading out
for an evening's adventures.
