Vacation 2000 ~ Gallery 4

Planet Hollywood Sign
The lonely Planet Hollywood sign hiding amongst the scenery at Caesar's Palace. No wonder that they're not doing so good financially.
NY/NY Harbor - MGM Lion
While you can see the MGM in the background, you (thanks to my lousy photography skills) may not notice the water from the New York New York harbor in the foreground. The boat in the water might give some clue.
Bungee Jump

Anyone Wanna Bungee Jump? Maybe it's just me, but I value my life a little more than that. I tried to get a picture of a jumper in flight, but to no avail.
My Hotel Room
Another picture of my hotel room at the Stardust. You might notice the Gatorade bottle on the table. I must have consumed 2 gallons of fluids a day while I was out there. A dry heat is still heat nonetheless.
Girls of Glitter Gulch
The girls of Glitter Gulch topless establishment on Fremont Street which seems to be out of place with the other establishments in the area. No I did not go inside. The locals informed me that the place sucks.
Holy Cow - Stratosphere
The Holy Cow brewpub/casino in front of the Stratosphere Tower where the motto is "Beer so fresh, it should be slapped."
Aladdin

The tall towers of the $1.6 BILLION Alladin Hotel. If the economy keeps stumbling those who have ownership in the property may soon be leaping off these towers.
Las Vegas Strip

Picture of the Las Vegas Strip from around Flamingo Avenue. This area has an incredible amount of traffic so they've build skywalks over the street to keep people from getting run over.
McDonalds on the Strip
The golden arches of McDonalds even get in with the Vegas glitz. (Notice the tracer lights on the sign). They're also savvy enough to know to charge extra in a tourist area. A meal that would have run me $3.00 back home, ran about $4.00 here. There's another McDonalds like this one just north of the Stardust.
Flamingo Hilton

The house that Bugsy Siegel built. This is the facade of the Flamingo Hilton, one of the neatest in town in my opinion. The picture was shot from one of the skywalks over the Las Vegas Blvd. - Flamingo Avenue intersection.
