Illinois 64 is a very important east-west highway spanning the entire width of the state of Illinois. It starts in the west crossing the Mississippi River coming from Iowa along US52, then it crosses the entire state, passes through the north side of Chicago to end at US41 near Lake Michigan.

Intersections from west to east:

Upon entering Illinois joined with US52, IL64 joins IL84 at Savanna

IL84 leaves south after Savanna

IL78 passing Mount Carroll

IL73 at Lanark

US52 departs from IL64 at Brookville

IL64 joins IL26 south for a short while

IL64 breaks off of IL26

IL2 at Oregon

US20 joins from the west

I-290 by Elmhurst

I-294 by Elmhurst, as US20 leaves toward the southeast.
