General Overview
We are a casual raiding guild of solid, long-term players willing and able to put in the time and effort it takes to advance in a long term scope through the various EQ expansions together.

Focus is on ENJOYMENT and TEAMWORK, not power-gaming and loot.

We have an adult humor environment. We screw around a lot.. often at someone else in the guild's expense. If you can't take a joke and a little friendly harassment, you are probably in the wrong guild. We're capable of intelligent conversation too ... sometimes... mebee.

Raids & Progress
  Raiding Scope
Our planned progression is aimed at gearing up the guild in a logical fashion and closing out the expansions by systematically conquering them. Kunark/Velious, Luclin, PoP with a lot of toggling back and forth along the way. However, being in the start up stages a lot of patience is required while we build the *right* team. Quality over quantity.

We raid 1-3 times a week (US - EST based time) on a loose schedule, mostly being spontaneous events but there is a Weekly Raid Schedule in the raid section of the private forums that you should check frequently. If you are online you are expected to attend any scheduled or officer announced raids. If you cannot attend an explaination to an officer is in order.

Behavior at Raids
You are expected to arrive on time to any raid. If you cannot make it on time post on the raid schedule forum or inform an officer. Late comers are required to arrange their own transportation to the raid site without completely disrupting the raid. Send tells to members privately for ports, directions, CoH needs or making ressurection arrangements.

You are expected to follow the directions of the Raid Leader(s) at all times. Everyone has thier own way of doing encounters. However, the Raid Leader(s) are in charge and you will do all encounters as directed. If you have a suggestion send a tell to the Raid Leader(s) and briefly explain your idea. Do not debate strategies or argue in /gu or /rs - period.

In the event that we have an issue or encounter with another guild or a GM the Officers are the only ones that should be addressing the other party. No /ooc's, /shout's, /auction's or /tell's are allowed. Let the officers handle it. As well, Hemlock leadership takes these issues seriously in respect to fair play and reputation. Under handed or unsportsman-like behaviour is not acceptable. We will not train, KS, or manipulate a situation in a devious manner. Any Hemlock member found to participate in devious behavior at a raid will be suspended and/or guild removed.

Finally, we are raiding primarily for enjoyment. Negative attitudes, complaining, or arguing is not welcome in the raid environment. If you are having a bad day *gasp* or get upset over an issue send an officer a tell requesting to be dismissed from the raid. Come back when you've cooled off. If you are causing problems at a raid in any of the channels or by sabatoging actions you will be dismissed from the raid and potentially suspended and/or guild removed.

Inexperience & Learning
No one has experience in every single encounter in EQ. As a guild we will face new challenges together. All that is required is that you follow directions and if you are unclear on your role ask the Raid Leader(s) what you need to do. There is no shame in learning or having directions repeated.
