This photo of my dad's family was taken about 1900
Some of the wonderful old photos that were saved by mom and dad are shown below. Some were contributed by cousins Nolan Jones, Jeanie Gracey Allen and Christie Wyman. Grandfather Jim was the first child born to GreatGrandfather John Henry and Great Grandmother Susannah In 1907 Winston moved to Sanger, California, where he had gotten a job with a sawmill. Neither Winston nor his wife ever went back to Texas--even to visit. His postcards to Jerry’s dad persuaded Jerry’s dad to come to California where he worked, first, in the sawmill at Tuolumne, California and, later, in the oilfields of Coalinga and Taft.
This photo of the Bransford home near Mangum, Texas, was apparently taken during the time that Dad was in California (1906/09).

Aunt June and Uncle Ed are on the left. Next to them is Jerry's mom and the other two are believed to be neighbors of the Bransford farm, Dillard and Grace Stinebaugh.
I have no idea where this photo was taken. I had thought it was my dad with his father and brother but Jeanie Gracey Allen says the gentleman with the walrus moustache is probably her grandfather, Herrington Lafayette, the brother of my grandfather, Jim, and the young man strongly looks like Uncle Fayette's son, Lewis. I am convinced that she is correct!
This early photo of Mom and Dad, apparently on an outing.
Aunt June is on the left and between her and Mom and Dad are neighbors of the Bransford farm, Dillard and Grace Stinebaugh.
