We don't know who all of these people are but, first from left is Barbara (Aunt Betty) Valicek, then Marty's mother, Agnes Valicek, and, next, Grandmother Anna Valicek

We don't know the young man on the left but, next to him, is Marty's Grandfather, Vincenc Valicek; then his youngest son, Ed Valicek.
Next are Marty's mom and dad then Ed's wife, Mary, and, we believe, her younger sister.
We are not sure who the gentleman in the back is.

For a time Uncle Charley delivered bread door to door in San Antonio.
Anna Valicek was the quintessential “old world” woman.
She was fiercely protective of her family!
The firstborn of Vincenc and Anna Valicek was Anna.
She was born in Novy Hrozenkov, Moravia and made the voyage to America with her mom and dad.
She married, first, a Mr. Nickel and, second, a Mr. Sedlacek (first names unknown).

The second daughter of Vincenc and Anna Valicek was Julie.
She married a “Walleck” and is shown here with four of her sons, Louis, Charles, Alex, and Jim.
Barbara Valicek, Marty’s aunt. She married Frank Miller.
They had two daughters, Helen and Mary Ann.
Marty’s Uncle Charles (Uncle Charley) married Johanna Hodanek
They had a daughter who died an infant.

It was a good occupation in those days but, today, sadly, there are not those personal touches!
Uncle Charley became a farmer south of San Antonio.
Here he is with Aunt Janey and their pigs.

Uncle Joe married Emma Bohuslau.
They had one son, Alex.
Uncle Joe farmed near Pearsall, Texas.
Ed Valicek (the youngest son) married Mary Olsovsky
They had two sons and three daughters - one of whom died in infancy.
Uncle Ed worked for Pioneer Flour Mills in San Antonio for many years.
Marty’s mother, Agnes Valicek Dressler, was the youngest child of Anna and Vincenc Valicek.
She is sixteen years old in this photo.
Agnes Valicek and Louis Dressler were married in San Antonio 18 March 1922.
This wedding day photo has them seated on the front steps of 122 Dullnig Court.
