The

versions of
this
creative, low-budget horror movie are included in this collection. The
Equinox, directed by Dennis Muren and The Beast, directed by Jack Woods
both tell essentially the same story about four friends who
journey into the woods to visit a friend, only to unleash an evil
entity. The character Asmodeus only appears in the Jack Woods version
(maybe because the Asmodeus role is played by Jack Woods?) Both
versions of the film contain unique footage not found in the other -
it's best to watch them back to back so you see everything these young
filmsters had to offer.

as cheesy effects. Since it predates Evil Dead by several years, many
claim Sam Raimi ripped this movie off. See it and judge for yourself! DVD-R VHS

TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE: THE SHOCKING TRUTH (VG+) 2000. The latest documentary on this timeless classic is the best yet. The entire cast is there to talk about the making of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Jim Van Bebber, director of Charlie's Family and Deadbeat at Dawn, puts his two cents in. Learn about how the film was released because of a mob based distribution and how everyone was ripped off and didn't see any profits. The film also takes you on a tour of the cannibal family's house, which happens to be a restaurant today. DVD-R VHS
THREE ON A MEATHOOK (VG) (1972) Early slasher horror that's getting to be a real obscurity these days. Very loosely based on the story of real-life nutbar Ed Gein, this bit of drive-in trash tells the tale of a farmboy who lives with his drunken father and apparently has nasty episodes when chicks are around. He blacks out and slaughters them with anything handy. Plenty of cheesy gore, bad acting and gratuitous nudity are on display here. This film is yet another addition into the Ed Gein inspired horror films that emerged from the genre. DVD-R VHS
TO ALL A GOODNIGHT (VG-) (1980) Directed by David Hess. A killer stalks a sorority house as Santa Claus in this Krug Stillo (David Hess) directed horror flick with some great gore effects. DVD-R VHS

THE VIJ (EX) (1967) Russian w/ English Subtitles. A witch tricks a Priest into killing a young woman. The next day he is called to give the woman her last rights and the Priest is forced to stay in the same room with the girl's body overnight. Needless to say, the witch still has plans for the young Priest. This film is completely amazing. The effects and cinematography are a great addition to this wonderful Gogol story that's based on a Russian Folk Tale. A must see. DVD-R VHS
WELCOME TO SPRING BREAK (EX) (1988) Directed by Umberto Lenzi. Lots of bikini beauties and a mysterious motorcycle murderer fill this Spring Break/Horror flick with stupid fun. DVD-R VHS

ZOMBI: DAWN OF THE DEAD (Argento Edit) aka Zombi (EX) (1978) This Argento edit of the Romero classic is much faster in pace and includes the complete Goblin soundtrack throughout the film. DVD-R VHS
ZOMBIE '90: EXTREME PESTILENCE (VG) (1991) If you
like your gore, you get a mean helping of it in this garbage pail of
filth. Intestines, chainsaws, and horrible effects make this film a
classic of the genre. Hyper-gory, uber-cheesy SOV zombie flick from the
Violent Shit guys with some seriously over the top splatter (witness a
castration by garden shears, vaginal knifing, a ravenous zombie tears a
baby in half, etc.). Hilarious dubbing by a couple of the producers
friends make this one vastly entertaining with a short-case of yer fave
suds. I'd give ya a plot synopsis, but, uh, there really isn't one to
speak of: a doctor discovers zombies, execute cheesy, extreme gore and
bad acting. Funny as hell though. DVD-R VHS
