There are 2 ways to catch fish... You either do the clever thing and catch them in the summer or you get desperate and go out in weather when only snowmen should be out. Still, looks like both ways work...

Highlights in 2005 have undoubtedly been the fact we caught 30 species between us, a certain Red Mullet and free helicopter rides for one lucky fisherman. Here's this year in pictures...

Our John was soon off the mark this year with his usual size of specimen Perch from Rossmere... "...so what", thought Kate, "anything you can do...!"

Anyway, we've caught some big fish along the way so far...

...and we've caught some even bigger fish still...

...but then we caught even bigger fish than that...!!!

But fishing is not just all about catching fish. It's about getting out of the house and going to see different places...

It's also about that centuries old pleasure of messing about in boats on sunny days...

...it's about having fun, being daft and living your life...
...and also showing that stupid numpty Neil Higson that no matter how hard he might try you'll always catch more fish than he ever will.
As ever there'll be the days when the weather gods conspire against you...

...but there'll also be lazy days when even the waves can't be bothered...

...so when the gentle rocking of the boat all gets too much for you.

And there'll also be wonderfull, memorable days when you catch fantastic fish through extreme use of your skills...

...but there'll also be dark days when your fishing buddies seemingly throw bribes at the gods of fishing and make fluke captures with every cast...!!!

Thats fishing for you...!!! I dont suppose we'd have it any other way.
