Double A-side Release date: 19th Feb 1983 Highest Chart position: 8 Weeks on U.K. Chart: 9 7" Picture disc & 12" released with Blue Beast and extended version of Tomorrows Just Another Day Also features Tomorrows Just Another Day with Elvis Costello as guest vocals
A double A-side which I think flatters Madness (Is All In The Mind). Its at best a good B-side but thats only my opinion. Tomorrows just another day is a story of how life goes on no matter what happens. A bright and cheerful video which features several of the band dressed up as flowers. This single is taken from one of their most creative eras. |
B-side Behind The 8 Ball Release date: 20th Aug 1983 Highest Chart position: 2 Weeks on U.K. Chart: 10 7" Picture disc & 12" released with 'One Seconds Thoughtlessness' as bonus track on 12" |

A very up tempo song easy to sing along to track. It combines a steel band and gospel sings. The B-side, behind the 8 ball is a strange song which consists of an instrumental with a short conversation played on top. It was one of their highest charting songs I think due to the mass appeal the song had. |
B-side Fireball XL5 Release date: 5th Nov 1983 Highest Chart position: 5 Weeks on U.K. Chart: 10 7" Picture disc & 12" released with 'My Girl (Live)' as bonus track on 12"
A song that sums up most British summers. Another catchy song thats sticks in your head for ages. Simple lyrics, a great beat and yet another entertaining video makes it a good quality package. The B-side is a personal favourite of mine and features some of the fastest lyrics Madness ever did. |
