Well, we're still unemployed. But we have not been idle. We've finally finished our magnum opus, A Thousand and One Appalachian Tales. We finished part twenty-one on 08/18/02002. Now we're looking to shore it up and find a publisher. Any help or suggestions would be most appreciated. Also, several new Haiku have been posted...

Nothing too fancy yet but www.farfromgood.com is up. Plans to turn this into a Slashdot type weblog are on hold for the moment until I solve my lack on income problems. Help me find a job! Willing to relocate. See my resume for skills and experience.

Well, we are once again unemployed and looking for a job. Who'd have thought that pursuing a career in IT would be so difficult. Of course, it doesn't help that I live in an area that, post September 11th, requires everyone to have a security clearance. It's all rather depressing. I worked hard to get my certifications which I was told would make me elegible to participate in the great tech revolution. Unfortunately, it seems the great tech revolution is on hold. What, with all the dot coms going bust and all the bubbles going burst, there doesn't seem to be all that much out there for me.

In any event, I have been using this time to move forward on a project I've long wanted to see completed. For well over a decade, I've wanted to tell the tales of my long journey north on the Appalachian Trail. Well, two years ago I began working on A Thousand and One Appalachian Tales, and I am proud to say I've just finished up part nineteen! I can hardly believe it!

If anyone happens to know of any career opportunities for me out there, and/or a publisher interested in publishing these Tales, please let me know. I would be most grateful. Thanks and have a great day.

Peace, Love, and Freshness!

Well, at long last we are glad to inform you that the one you may know as Düg Fresh, in his Earthly incarnation as Mr. Page, has finally found a job. Yes, it does appear to be true. Our deepest thanks go to Deanna from Adecco Technologies for making it possible.

In other news, you may have noticed, there are a few new JavaScripts and Applets running around loose herein. Thanks to Anfy and Dynamic Drive for their source codes. Also, there are a few new additions to the Fictionary addenda page, for those who might be easily amused. Go ahead, give them a gander, if you dare...

Well, we've been updating the site, doing a lot of minor tweaking to the code, but we haven't been logging it here so we've kind of lost track. But we are proud to say that the Güfi Temple has gotten a wonderful new "facelift" care of our good friends at theBuddhaMoose. According to DTM, the Photographer and President of the BuddhaMoose Universe website, the photograph "is of the carvings of the Bodhisattva Avolikitesvara, at the Bayon temple. The Bayon Temple is in the middle of Angkor Thom, the city of the Khmers in Cambodia, circa 1000ad." To give Dan a special plug, he is an awesome lights/visuals/special effects wizard (when not "on the loose" in the BuddhaMoose) and he is on tour with Patti Smith this summer so--- go check him out! 'nuff said.

Our Field Correspondent just Passed his Implementing and Supporting Microsoft Internet Information Server 4.0 exam today! That qualifies him to be certified as a Microsoft Certified Professional + Internet and it leaves him only one exam to go for his Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer certification. He had this to say,"I couldn't have done it without the help of all the fine and wonderful people at New Horizons". For those who are perhaps not familiar, New Horizons is the world's largest independent training company. They are an Authorized Prometric Testing Center and a Certified Technical Education Center.
