Our Air FieldThe Buzzards' Roost Airfield is 700 X 75 feet. It is located in a field off of County Road 8 approximately 4 1/2 miles outside of Tallassee, AL. DIRECTIONS FROM INTERSTATE 85: If you are coming from Interstate 85, get off at Exit 26 and go North on HWY 229 to Tallassee. When you get to Tallassee, take a left at the first stop light. This is County Road 8 (Friendship Road). Go approximately 4.5 miles. The airfield is on the right just before you get to Friendship Fire Department. DIRECTIONS FROM ALEXANDER CITY: If you are coming from Alexander City, take HWY 63 to HWY 14. Turn left onto HWY 14. You will be going East. When you get into Tallassee you will take a right at the second stop light (just past McDonalds). This will be County Road 8. (Friendship Road). Go approximately 4.5 miles. The airfield is on the right just before you get to Friendship Fire Department. DIRECTIONS FROM WETUMPKA: You can come into Tallassee on HWY 14 East and follow directions above OR you can turn off of HWY 231 in Wetumpka onto County Road 8 (Redland Road). Follow Redland Road and when you get to the dead end in Friendship, turn right. Go approximately one mile. We are located on the left just past the Friendship Fire Department.
