Pseudotroheus Albino Zebra are somewhat rare for mbuna cichlids. I originally purchased these juse becuase of thier pink color, and my daughter wanted some pink fish. They are relatively peaceful fish. Although not a dwarf cichlid, they have not grown too large since I originally picked them up. THe femles tend to hang in the rocks, usually at each end of the tank, while the male just roams freely in the water.
Males are a brighter white with pink vertical stripes, with red eyes. Females may have the same pink striping, but the white will be paler with more of a pink tint. They tend to like the algae based foods and can be commonly seen eating algae off rocks and off the glass. Who needs a pleco when you have Pseudotropheus Zebra?
