Labeotropheus Fulleborni are robust somewhat peaceful fish, for mbuna cichlids. However, until recently, I have only had 3 females. I have recently introduced 2 more females and 1 male, for 5 total females. The three new Fulleborni are quite small comapred to the established other 3 females. But overall, there is no aggression to be seen. Occasionally, the Marmalade Cat will chase one of the OB females, but that's about it. The male is pretty shy and hides alot.
Labeotropheus Fulleborni vary in colors. The first set I got were a pinkish or orangeish color with brown spots, thus the name OB (Orange Blotched) and the 3rd one was a Marmalade Cat. I picked up 2 more females and they look like they may turn out to be OB as well, although its too early to tell since they are 1 inch at best right now. The male is a nice blue color with some vertical dark barring. It will be nice to see him color up when he grows.
These fish are fairly good at keeping the tank clean for me. They seem to like the algae that grows on the rocks and the glass. It is farly common to see them sucking the rocks, just like a pleco would. They are also one of the fondest of my fish of fresh romaine lettuce.
