I've been living and teaching (mostly first grade) in Warwick, NY since graduating from SUNY Geneseo in 1973. Don and I have been married for 27 years and have two wonderful kids--Jeff, 23, and Jenny, 20. I love spending time with my family and still get the biggest kick out of teaching little kids how to read and write. Also enjoy gardening, reading, and the NY Mets.

(2008)I live in Margate, FL. I'm married but my husband lives in Canada. I have 2 children. Michael, 30 is in the US Army. My daughter Shayna, 27 is also married to a man named Joe, and I have 2 wonderful granddaughters, Brianna Joy (5) and Brooke Danielle (2). I have the privilege and blessing to still be very close to a lot of our friends from school. My very best friends are still my very best friends. In fact I am meeting Patti Reilly, Lori Buccola-Gregorio and Maureen Haran 68’ in Savannah. We are going to Hilton Head, NC. We do a trip together once a year. Kevin Nolan and his wife Patty will be in FL in July and we will do dinner, can’t wait, and hopefully Jimmy Amato and his wife Kathy will join us. Jimmy lives about 40 minutes from me.

I belonged to Beta Gamma Delta and our brothers were Beta Gamma Sigma. We were kind of the Animal House of North Babylon and Deer Park. LOL. I was the only girl in shop class, with Mr. Andrews. Remember him boys? I had him for study hall and Harry Andes and I used to pass notes. I was talking and Mr. Andrews HIT me over the head with a loose leaf. Not hard, but he got my attention. Well he took me out of study hall and put me to work in the shop class. It was cool though because I got to learn the printing press and made all our stationary. There was also the time when we got into trouble because Wendy was driving Mr. Nagel nuts, and she was staring at them..LOL.. We were so bad!! Well I wasn’t bad I was over social..LOL..or, when Mrs. Soranto (the slut) kissed my boyfriend Tony right there in the hallway in front of everyone. Or the day Patti told me that Henry York (Sharon Burke’s cousin) died in Vietnam. I really liked him a lot. Man I loved High School. Well, I am so glad that so many of us are still connected and I hope to see you all soon!!!

My favorite teacher was Mr. Lamendola (choir). The best event was graduation. It was hot but exciting. Also the 67’ senior prom. We had a blast.

After graduation, I spent four years in the Navy as a Medic. Married Mary Manzella (NB70) in 1972. Desiree came along in 1973, then Jolene in 1975 and then my son Michael in 1976. It was nice to have our children early as we are now enjoying our three grandchildren - Brian 6, Morgan 2 1/2, and Callen 5 months. And we are still young enough to enjoy our vacations.

(2008) Distance wise, I have not traveled very far from N. Babylon as I live a mere 45 miles away in Staten Island. My personal growth has traveled a great delat farther. I was very shy and quiet in school, not by choice but because I has a debilitating speech impairment called stuttering that left me...silent. Something happened to me when I graduated school and went to NYC to to study nursing. Maybe it ws being independent for the first time or meeting my future husband. I don't know but I stopped studdering. I am now an assistant principal in a Brooklyn High School. I supervise 16 teachers and over 600 students. I speak to large groups all the time with no problem. I was a classroom teacher for 22 years. I am pursuing a doctorate in education. Personally, I have been married for 34 years to a wonderful, kind, generous man. I have a newly wedded 30 year old son and a 26 year old som who lives on Long Island and loves it.

(2008)PhD in School Administration, Promoter for over 30 years

I cut a 1/2 day at school with my best friend Connie Dillard and Harvey Steel. When we returned to the school, the Assistant Principal was waiting for us because Adrian Fassett had told on us. I was on punishment for "on month". I did not know how we were found out until years later when Adrian confessed that he had told while I worked for him at Dowling College.

I am a business administrator with the Board of Cooperative Educational Services of Nassau County. My wife and I maintain two homes and live apart during the week. For the past five years our marriage has been an endless succession of very intense weekends and holidays. That will go on until July of 2006 when I can retire after 33 years. When we are not working, my wife and I play more golf than you can possibly imagine, we sail in the Gulf of Mexico and we ski in Vermont, Colorado, and Austria. I hold season tickets to the NY Yankees and the NYC Opera. We do a lot of traveling to stay in touch with our families.

Kathy (Gordon) Moller

(2004) Wow, 32 years to recap in 100 words or less. I'm a divorced mother of one daughter, who is married and lives in FL. My first grandchild is due in Feb 2002 (NOW THAT'S EXCITING). I'm currently dating and we enjoy skiing out west and golfing (although not that good). I want to thank Kevin Nolan who contacted me on Classmates.com and told me about all of this.

I am a single woman, mother of one daughter (Lisa) and grandmother of 2 terrific grandsons (Keven 6 and Ryan 5). I have been “dating” a wonderful man (Peter) for almost 10 years. I own a condo in Yaphank, NY and have been making a living as a “Civil Servant” for 24 years. Currently, I’m an Accountant for Suffolk County. I love skiing out west, particularly Colorado. We go every year. I’m spoiled. My other passion is traveling. I recently went on a 10 day Mediterranean Cruise with a few extra days in Rome and Venice. The old expression “Youth is wasted on the Young” holds true for me. I spent the second 25 years of my life trying to forget the first 25 years of my life. Now I’m spending the third 25 years trying to remember! I thoroughly enjoyed working on the 35th Reunion and seeing old friends and making new ones. I hope to help with the 40th Reunion and make it another success.

Robin (Gordon) Morgenweck

(2008)After graduating from NBHS, out of ignorance and an effort to live somewhere new, I attended a small college in Iowa, which hired me after graduation to create service learning opportunities for students. I had attended that school because it was the only college in the US to require students to engage in volunteerism. I then became the executive director of Planned Parenthood in Southeast Iowa and had a really unpleasant and, fortunately, short-lived marriage.

I continued to work for Planned Parenthood running their public affairs and communications programs in New York City and at the national level for fifteen years. I met my current wife, Stephanie, at Planned Parenthood when she was running the volunteer department. We have been married for 26 years. She is a school psychologist.

Our home is in Westchester County, where we moved after living in the City. We have two really great kids: Ben who is 24 is going into green construction in Vermont where he lives, and a daughter, Amanda, who lives in New York and is about to enter grad school. I started a consulting firm in 1990 that provides a range of communications services to public interest organizations and foundations. We travel when we can, take the occasional dance lesson and get out on our sailboat whenever we can. I remain an un-reconstructed liberal do-gooder and am looking forward to continuing my work, but increasing my leisure time. I have been really blessed with a challenging, but fun life.

My Favorite Year/Memory/Person/Event/Teacher: I only enjoyed my senior year because we were allowed to choose a few classes. I remember taking Russian History with Mr. Andrews, who was truly a great teacher and Psychology which I found fascinating. Could the teacher have been named DeVore? Great class.

Peter Gowan

Graduated the University of Virginia and began association with Social Security as Assistant Executive Director of the Social Security Board. Served as the Director of the Bureau of Old-Age and Survivors Insurance first twice. Served as Deputy Director of the US Employment Service and worked for the National Youth Administration, National Recovery Administration, and United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration.

My wife, (Verda) Denise Furlough (NB70) and I will celebrate 30 years wedded bliss in July 2003. For 11 years I've owned the Medicine Shoppe pharmacy franchise. I'm a new grandfather to Olivia (born 10/31/02). My children are Tisha Hunt (Sam), Traci Larson (Thad), Tempest, and Taylor. I served in the AF 1974-1979 (plus reserve time). I'm very active in our LDS ward here in the Monroe, LA community. Maybe we will make a reunion one day. I'm still lanky after all these years and graying with distinction.

Jim Green (1951 - 2007)

Russ Green

(2008) I started to work at the Social Security Administration in 1973 and until two weeks from now when I retire, have never left. I've been married to my wife Diane since 1979. Four years later our daughter Andrea was born. In 1984 I received a job promotion which required me to move to the Baltimore Maryland area. It has proven to be a wonderful place to work and raise a family. As to why we have now chosen to relocate to The Villages in Florida, I can only offer my subjective opinion that while Maryland was right for me as a young man, The Villages is the right place for me as not so young man (I hate to refer to myself as old). In the near future, I hope to play tennis again, learn to golf, travel and even perform some useful community service. It's been a great 40 years and while I wish I could right a few things, I certainly harbor no anger or bitterness about the past and am excited about the future.

Favorite Year: 2008 of course. If that's cheating use 1969 (I finally escaped High School). Favorite Person: Steve Goldstein - he's been a fanstastic friend for close to 50 years. He is my longest continuous favorite person. FavoriteTeacher: I'm embarrassed to admit this, but ALL teachers were considered the enemy by me in those days. I guess my favorite was John Eden. Favorite Event: Predictably - graduation.

This has been the most challenging set of photos to work on and display. You all should know that for a hefty fee I can painlessly and permanently add or remove hair! If you have a photo you think is more becoming or more recent, please send it along to me. I can't take off the years but I can preserve the memories.
