After earning a biochemistry degree from Stony Brook, I went into - illogically - computers! Now after more than 25 years in the field (Chase Manhattan Bank, Citibank), I keep my sanity by developing my own web site (phrenicea.com) depicting my vision of the future.

Still on LI. I live and own an accounting firm in Northport that specializes in corporate accounting, though we do personal accounting as well. I have two wonderful sons. My older son, having finished at NYU, works for an entertainment law firm in Manhattan. My younger son is at URI majoring in business. My favorite pastime is spending time at Sunken Meadow and the gym with my "L & M Walking Club," (Lamed & Maimed).

(2008) I was a skinny 100 lb. ultra-nerd that very few of you will remember. I played no sports except tennis, poorly. I was a “D” student. I hung out with the Hempson twins...whom I idolized but I never hear from anymore, Pete Gowan, Ken Boscha, Pat Fay, Tom Scarpelli and Bob Christenson (but only when Bob was very young)...until they all matured and out-grew me. I finally molted and went back to collage a second time at 32 years of age. (Previously, I lost my virginity to a 31 year old woman during my sophomore year in college when I was 18.)

Barb Korzen, Sue Morning, Virginia Long & Marion Segal were a very few of the girls who were always nice to me but as the dreaded “as a friend”. Candy Calhoun once punched-out a guy who was picking on me. Not great for the male ego.

I had a crush from afar on: Kathy Fryer, Barb Korzen, Bobbie Hoover, Jane Hickman, Nancy Hickman, Ginny Long, Lynn Christensen, Karen Sarle, Diane Divola, Arlene Hassan, Cynthia Starmack & Marion Segal, many of whom did not know that I even existed. Nancy Belmont and I hung out as buddies for a few months during the 1970’s. We went one time to Coney Island and one time camping on the beach together. I doubt that she even remembers. I was married a first time for 22 years to a wonderful lady...and I am now married for 15 years to the love of my life...Renee. I do the marketing for 22 clinical research sites across the country.

My Favorite Year/Memory/Person/Event/Teacher: Mr. Szablewicz was cool and I had a crush on Miss Brill. Mrs. Hoffman taught me to love books...but not the ones we had to read in school. Pete Gowan & Bob Shagawat helped me learn to love music at an early age. Miss Brill was a great math teacher and she tried her best to save me from myself. Otherwise, I was one of those that basically hated every single minute I was in High School...and I love almost every minute of my life since. Life is funny, isn’t it? I wish all of you well.

This has been the most challenging set of photos to work on and display. You all should know that for a hefty fee I can painlessly and permanently add or remove hair! If you have a photo you think is more becoming or more recent, please send it along to me. I can't take off the years but I can preserve the memories.

Love and knishes...Don "Flash" Messinger
