Since mid-January, I'm a General Manager in charge of Retail Banking for Emirates Bank International, which is located in Dubai, UAE (located at the southern end of the Arabian Gulf). I've worked and vacationed extensively in the Middle East (Kuwait, Saudi, and Dubai) so I'm enjoying this opportunity to be here again.

(2004)I graduated from Georgetown University. I worked for Lever Brothers, then 15 years with Westinghouse including in Asia and Europe, but principally based in Baltimore/Washington area most of my adult life. Today I'm President of Shippers Commonwealth (automated shipment planning and management systems), with three offices. I was married for 17 years to Sheryl Debord and have two wonderful children Lindsay age 20 and Jordan age 16. I remarried in Jan 1999 to my lovely wife Elena, and live in Falls Church, VA.
(2008)My wife Elena and I now live in Charleston, South Carolina. We moved here in 2002. I continue as President of Shippers Commonwealth (collaborative logistics systems) with the main office now based at the Port of Charleston (we still have the field offices in VA, CT, ON, OH, and TN), My daughter Lindsay is married and working as paralegal in Baltimore MD, grandchildren are in her plan. My son Jordan is still working while completing college. I worked all over the world during my 15 years with Westinghouse, and then started and sold two firms, have had Shippers Commonwealth since 2000. I successfully beat cancer last year with the help of my family and friends. I am in better health than ever now. Every day is a gift.
My Favorite Year/Memory/Person/Event/Teacher: 1969, when I was already accepted to Georgetown so I could have a prolonged senior slump in skipping most classes and spending summer at the beach. One of the under-rated parts of Long Island were our great beaches. The rest is mostly a blur, I remember college better, was “matured” by then. Still working on maturing, perhaps when I am 60 I will reach the mental age of 30.

I joined the Marine Corps right after graduation in 1969. I did a tour in Vietnam in 1970, had a few "close calls" but fortunately made it back home in one piece. I'm still proud of serving our country as a Marine in Vietnam, despite the public sentiment at the time. I went to college and attained degrees in Medical Technology. I supervise the Clinical Microbiology Laboratory at University Hospital in Stony Brook where I've worked for 20 years. I have a lovely wife (also from NB) and two fine sons.

I moved to CA after college & have been living here since then with my husband, Charlie. Married 27 years, we have 2 children. Steven, 18, will be attending UCLA in Sept. My daughter Andrea is almost 16. For many years I had a psychotherapy practice & in 1998 made a drastic change & started a dog walking business. I am now learning to do dog training.
(2004)
I am still euphoric over my latest personal accomplishment, graduating from Adelphi University. I serve as Winthrop-University Hospital's Department of Medicine Residency Coordinator. I have been married to Dennis Boyd (West Babylon Class of 69) for 30 years. We have no children but we do have 3 Siamese cats: Zechariah, Zeke, and Zoey. Proud to say I have completed 15 marathons and more than a few triathlons. Along with the advancing years has come emotional satisfaction and physical fitness. Pretty good for the girl who detested gym class and cut out of school way too many times. I am grateful for the journey that has been my life. I found my
way.
(2008) I am supremely grateful to be newly retired and living in a gated retirement community at the end of Long Island. It’s heaven after a near-25-year career as a Hospital Administrator. I met my husband, Dennis Boyd, at the end of high school. I feel very blessed for my life. We travel a lot. Yet it always surprises me how glad I am to step back into my own simple life. I possess true gems: a wonderful mother, four quite talented siblings, and a few precious friends. As extreme Siamese Cat Lovers, Dennis and I are in the process of adopting two new kittens, our third set of Siamese felines in 36 years. Each time a beloved pet passes, I swear it’s the last time, that there won’t be any more. But as the months elapse, the lure of these little creatures becomes undeniable. We have to have them in our lives. Their grace, unconditional devotion, breathtaking beauty, and never-ending entertainment make one’s heart leap. Who can turn away from such a pure heart throb? We find it poetic that Dennis and I both had our own separate Siamese cats even before meeting one other. It was meant to be.
I do work seasonally as a Track Official and in my husband’s road race timing business. Just like my classmates, I am striving to be reasonable, grateful, and content with what I have eked out of life.
Happily, I’ve finally started reading the books I’ve been collecting over a lifetime. My knock-down-drop-dead, all-time-favorite is the classic “The Art of Living by Epictetus”. He lived in Rome 55 to 135 AD and started out as a Greek slave. Like Aesop, another Greek slave taken to Rome, Epictetus gives us simple statements of astonishing wisdom. Once the light is turned on, there is no turning back. You cannot disappointment yourself.
My Favorite Teacher: Ninth Grade, 1965 to 1966: Mr. Cooney, the English Teacher, commissioned us to read perhaps 25 books that year. At the time, it seemed a daunting task, not even a possible one. But as I plowed my way through, I found a magical existence. A time when life was full of promise and possibility. As a 15 year old, I clearly recall Mr. Cooney. He was “youngish”, but gawky, skinny, and tall. He possessed the most pock-marked, acne-scared face I’d even seen. I wondered how he found the courage to even stand up in front of a class looking like that. Then Mr. Cooney opened his mouth and spoke. He was mesmerizing. He’d look right at you and throw you a thought-provoking question. Questions about the exact same things our own minds were pondering. Others spoke up. Soon the whole class shared in discussions. I made some of my best friends that year. They remain friends to this day. I thank you, Mr. Cooney, for being a “can opener” in my life; you opened my mind. I bless you still.

After graduating from SUNY, New Paltz and emerging from Marriage #1, I have been happily entangled with Hubby #2 for 14 years. No kids, no pets. Now living
just north of Houston, Texas. Hoping to be gainfully employed in the near future and looking forward to lots of wining, dining and travel during the next half century.

This has been the most challenging set of photos to work on and display. You all should know that for a hefty fee I can painlessly and permanently add or remove hair!
If you have a photo you think is more becoming or more recent, please send it along to me. I can't take off the years but I can preserve the memories.
