The Digimon Kaizer was the first villian of Digimon Adventure 02. Right off
the bat he was different from all the other villians encountered by the Chosen Children; he was
human. He had a Digimon partner, Wormmon, who stuck by his side but really rathered a relationship
like the other kids and their Digimon, opposed to the way the Digimon Kaizer treated him. The Digimon
Kaizer set up Control Spires* across the Digital World that powered up his Dark Rings* and Dark Spirals*,
which put the Digimon bearing it under his total control. The Digimon Kaizer never seemed to be
fazed by the Chosen Children's attempts to throw him from his reign of the Digital World. Eventually, when
the Digimon Kaizer realized that no Digimon under his control was really 'worthy' of him, he decided to make
a Digimon of his own. He took parts of other Digimon and created a jigsaw puzzle of a monster called Chimeramon.
Chimeramon had Perfect-level power and the Chosen Children's Digimon were powerless against it. Wormmon finally
decided to take action and he aided Daisuke and Chibimon when they entered the Digimon Kaizer's base. When
the Digimon Kaizer's crest turned into the DigiEgg of Miracles, V-mon Armor Digivolved to the ultimate Armor Digimon;
Magnamon. Even with Magnamon's power, the Chosen Children's attempts seemed futile against the Digimon Kaizer.
Wormmon, wanting to release the Digimon Kaizer's soul from the evil that shrouded it, gave his energy to Magnamon. Magnamon
destroyed Chimeramon once and for all, but Wormmon gave his life in the process. Finally realizing what he had done, the Digimon
Kaizer gave up his reign as the Digimon Kaizer and returned to the real world as his old, kind self.
The true identity of the Digimon Kaizer is Ken Ichijouji. He is also the reason the new
Chosen Children got their D-3's; he was the first to get one, and the others needed one in order to get the same amount of power.
