One thousand years ago, the universe was at peace, the era being referred to as "The Silver Millennium". The Moon Kingdom was the center of it all. The Moon Princess fell in love with the Earth Prince, Prince Darien who had four sworn generals to guard him. They were known as Jadeite, Neflyte, Zoisite, and Malachite, each rumored to be in love with on of the future sailor scouts: Princess Mars, Princess Jupiter, Princess Mercury, and Princess Venus. Somehow Queen Beryl managed to capture and brainwash the generals, turning them into four formidable Negaverse enemies and leaders. She attacked the Moon Kingdom, and while Prince Darien fought to save the kingdom of his love, Serena, Queen Beryl offered him a chance to rule the Negaverse with her. Of course, he refused and she began to attack Darien and Serena. Queen Serenity, seeing her daughter running towards Darien and then being sucked into Queen Beryl's forces, used her dying moments to send them all to Earth, only one thousand years in the future. The Sailor Scouts were to be activated if any Negaverse activity were detected. Queen Beryl and her army began to search for energy when the five Inner Senshi were fourteen, and they began to fight the Negaverse, one by one general, until they finally reached Beryl.
