Welcome To Ruki Mikuki version 4.2
hmmmm..... the history of Ruki Mikuki.
Where shall I begin? Lets see.
Ah yes now I remember! (signal to expect a long speech of some sort)
Well it all began in perhaps in 6th grade when we all were looking for some
friends cause a lot of are old ones went to different middle schools.
We found each other like it was written in the book of destiny and became
evry good friends. We all had our favourite anime which evolved into our
current passion and love for anime and manga today.
By the time we were into 7th grade Mikuki, Griffin, Cammeraman, and I, Miko
were in a webdesign class. Our first assignment was to make a webpage.
Mikuki with her growing collection of anime drawings and such decided to
build an online gallery for them. The site was named Ruki Mikuki.
Eventually with our new found webdesign skills we decided to build an anime
website and adopted Mikuki's catchy name of her website Ruki Mikuki.
And so there was a great hope for this website to have nice galleries of
our favourite anime/manga, maybe some movie/sound clips, our and other
people's fan art and fan fic, and perhaps even a place to put our just then
emerging manga's.
We knew we had our work cut out for us and soon figured out how really hard
achieving our hope, our wish to have a nice anime site, really was.
There were so many disagreements, so many problems. Too many people to work
with for one thing. So Mikuki launched the site week before the launch day.
I don't know why, so don't ask me, ask her...
When the site was set up ther were not actual images in the galleries,
no movies/sound clips (then of course do you think that would have fit on our
free server?) and not much real content.
I don't know what happended but everybody just started contributing with
content or they just pretended they weren't part of this.
The site was so, so, and got a new banner after a while. But it wasn't really
anywhere near what we hoped it to be. The site was taken down quite a few
times and during summer vacation had a canary yellow layout also designed by
Mikuki.
Most everybody complained so when school started again me and
Mikuki designed whant you are feating your very eyes on now.
This site with the help of me (using my arien instinct of being a bossy
leader type person) is with all links working (I think) and with functional
galleries (I hope).
