It was an early Friday morning and as usual Cye was in the kitchen fixing a hearty breakfast for his fellow Warriors. And also as usual Kento was in the same room pestering Cye with cries of how hungry he was.
“Come on Kento! If you want breakfast on the table any faster then you might as well help me!” Said a very annoyed Cye.
“But that’s your job!” Kento protested.
Cye shook a wooden spoon in his face.
“You naughty boy! You get your act together and set the table!” Kento laughed at this.
“Yes mother, dear.”
He grabbed the silverware and the napkins. Kento wasn’t much of a napkin folder but…what can I say? The folded napkins or rather piled pieces of cloth were mashed together by the place settings. With the silverware on top.
“Kento!” Cye cried in disgust. “How can it be so hard for you to fold napkins PROPERLY?!?”
“Don’t ask me.” Kento said folding his arms. “Maybe I was born that way.”
Cye fell face first on the floor. His eyes were swirling around in their sockets.
Kento grabbed his left shoulder and lifted him up on his feet.
“Just kidding! I’ll fix them up right.” His face was smiling with sweet satisfaction.
“Ah! Kento, what would I do without you?”
“Very funny Cye!” Kento replied as he fumbled with the napkins a bit so that they looked quite neat.
"Wow!" Cye murmured.
Kento grinned.
"Morning." Called Rowen from upstairs.
He had a towel over his shoulders and his waist was wrapped in a thick cloth (towel). His bangs were in his face as ever.
"ROWEN!!!" Mia screamed coming out of her bedroom. "YOU LEFT THE FLOOR WET AGAIN!! CAN'T YOU DRY YOUR FEET OFF AFTER YOU LEAVE THE BATHROOM?!?!"
Rowen's face went pale and he dashed for his room.
"Sorry Mia!" He said before slamming the door.
Mia's face flared into the color of Ryo's armor.
"Wait till he gets out of his hole!" She glared at the door.
"Why don't I clean it up Mia?" Sage asked.
The last thing any of the Ronins wanted was a scorched house.
The blond young man, in a white long sleeved shirt and blue jeans, went for the mop in the 'dust closet' as Kento called it and went to work.
Mia nodded and her face fell normal.
"Thank you Sage. Now guys I don't want the house an uproar when I leave for work today, understand?"
Everyone nodded in agreement.
"Alright I'm going now. I'll fix dinner when I return." With that she dashed out the door.
"Whew!" Everyone sighed in relief.
Rowen peeked out fully dressed in blue jeans and a light blue long sleeved shirt.
"She's gone right?"
Sage nodded and put away the mop and bucket.
The two Ronins walked down stairs and ate their breakfast.
Kento looked at Rowen who was more formally dressed then usual. He smiled in a sly way.
"Going out with Ally again?"
"Yup." Rowen said happily. "She's taking me to the science fair today."
Sage kept eating while Cye and Kento joined in conversation.
"Where's Ryo?" Cye asked finally.
"He's in the shower now." Rowen answered. "I had to bark at him ‘cause he was in there before me."
Everyone laughed. Ryo had a strong fondness for warm relaxing water (typical).
"Cye I'm hitting the road if you don't want any help." Sage said.
"That's ok I'll make Kento help me." Cye said with a grin.
"I'll lick the plates clean." Kento replied.
"Well see ya guys." Sage walked out into the sun and began a long walk into the city.
