“Martha Stewart Takes the Cake”
The clever and resourceful Martha has whipped up the ultimate lovely pink 3-tier cake suitable for a birthday, small wedding, afternoon tea, or in this case, a prison break, therefore the special baked-in, get-out-of-jail key. The cake, iced with homemade Royal frosting piped to perfection and dotted with golden jimmies, rests on a vintage cobalt blue plate from her signature collection (available at K-mart.) She wears a tasteful, yet casual Abercrombie white cotton shirt beneath her black-and-white striped prisoner uniform. Her outfit is complete with a black-and-white striped pillbox hat and sensible black Nine West flats. The other mandatory accessory is the prison-issued inky black iron ball and chain. She may be a bit angry (red eyes), still she wears a “good things” smile.
Martha also has a bright orange Monopoly-style GET OUT OF JAIL card. We all need one of those…just in case.
You may notice she has begun to decorate her cell. On the left side is a single painted heart with two smaller hearts below it; on the right are x’s and o’s (hugs and kisses OR tic tac toe?) written in special blackboard paint. This is an original OOAK (one-of-a-kind) painting done in acrylic on wood. It measures 12” x 16”. The painting is signed on front and signed and dated by the artist LLFK on the back. “Martha Stewart Takes the Cake” is an intriguing bit of celebrity satire. SOLD
