Demos
The demo that Mike Patton sent to his musical 'friends' was this tape. This tape is roughly ten minutes long. The songs on the demo have been re-recorded onto the Fantômas album, along with extra input from the other members, like Buzz's vocals and some spectacular drumming from Lombardo. The album goes in this order:
- Page 2
- Page 15
- Page 4
- Page 19
- Page 29
The demo in structure is very similar to the debut album, the quality however isn't too good. Some of the vocals are different in parts, like different voices. However, lots of samples from Fantômas are used in the Diabolik demo, like the 'death' sample in Page 15, and the psychotic screams and laughs in Page 4. It even sounds like the cymbals at the beginning of page 4 were sampled from the demo and used for the debut.
Fantômas - LIVE
So far, I have found that Fantômas have pretty much played their whole album Fantômas at most of their shows. But they have also performed other songs.- The Slayer Medley - All these songs were written by Slayer when Dave Lombardo was in the band, and with the exception of Hell Awaits, all the songs are on the 'Reign In Blood Album. Most of the songs are similar to the original songs, with some extra Fantômas sound effects (the sound of the modem buzzing in Angel of Death).
- 0:00 - Criminally Insane
- 0:11 - Angel of Death
- 1:06 - Hell Awaits
- 2:34 - Necrophobia
- Simply Beautiful - Al Green cover from the 'I'm Still In Love With You' album, covered pretty well and accurately. Fantômas add their own part to it inbetween and at the end, but still sticking to the theme.
Euthanasia - A Melvins cover, nuff said.
