Treating ADHD
Once upon a time there a young teen boy who was not a very good student. In fact, he was failing in most of his classes. Though he was very bright and creative, his mind rarely allowed him to stand still and could not bring himself to pay attention. As time went by, his mind became more restless so he dropped out of school and took long walks.
Meetings were held and people paid close attention to this child. Thank goodness he had an active family who helped him because no psychiatric medicine was available and the family had to actually spend time with and work with this boy.
Eventually, the boy changed his outlook and with support family and relatives he became a legend because that boy was Albert Einstein and had psychiatric medicine been prescribed for the young Albert, the world would never have learned about relativity.
People with ADHAD tend to be very intelligent, creative and inventive. Creativity is not confined to the music, entertainment, painting and sculpting. Creativity is used by inventors, entrepreneurs, researchers and others who need to “think outside the box” to be successful. Some of the most successful people have ADHD, Cher, Stephen Spielberg, John Lennon, Jim Carrey, Dustin Hoffman, Robin Williams Tom Cruize and Walt Dinsey to name a very few. These people chose to live in their creativity and not in an induced drug state to treat their ADHD.
In a country where there is a huge public outcry against the use of street drugs by our children, our public schools and families are drugging children by the millions.
At this very moment at least 6,000,000 U.S. school children are being administered Ritalin or other addictive, mind-altering, psychiatric drugs.
Ritalin and others like it is a drug that has a more potent effect on the brain than cocaine. Ritalin’s side effects can range from personality changes, to cardiovascular problems, digestive issues, anxiety, tics and involuntary muscle movement, seizures, high blood pleasure, and sudden death.
