Kinda Looks Like a 1953 Corvette.
I spotted this hybrid on the northeast corner of Tatum Boulevard and Shea in Phoenix, Arizona. It had Wisconsin plates on it. August 19th,2003: Since I took this photo in 2002, I've discovered that this is a kit-car body that merely fits over a standard Corvette.

Sure Ain't a 1953 'Vette
Here's the side view of this beast. Actually, it's not a beast. I didn't go over it with a micrometer, but fit and finish seemed to be as good as any recent car out of Detroit. Its length destroys the classic small sports car look of the original Zora Arkus-Duntov design.

And Here's the Tail of the non-1953 'Vette
What's more to say? Displaying four exhaust tubes, the body appears to be built on a recent release Corvette frame.

California. If you look closely you can see the instrument dials glinting in the dash in front of where we would have our passenger sit, indicating that this vehicle is a right hand drive model. According to the October 2002 issue of Road & Track its got a 287 bhp horsepower V6 that drives the rear wheels. Starts at $26,269 with the Track Model topping out at $34,079.

Pair of 2003 350Z Nissan's
Here we have a two, a couple, dos, of the replacement to the venerable
300ZX. My best buddy, Master Bates, had the first year of this model, a 240ZX, back in the 1970s when Nissan was known as Datsun here in the U.S.
