1.  When typing SMS :
   -  Tap upper right soft key to bring up SMS input options menu;
   -  Press and hold upper right soft key to toggle between T9
      multi-tap;
   -  Press and hold bottom right '#' to toggle between T9 or
      multi-tap and numeric mode;
   -  Tap bottom left '*' key to toggle between upper case,
      lower case and caps lock;
   -  Press and hold bottom left '*' key to bring out symbols
      menu.

2.  When browsing in WAP :
   -  Tap the centre 'i' key to bring out Options menu;
   -  Tap bottom left '*' key to bring out WAP controls;
   -  The side keys also allow you to 'page up' / 'page down'
      while in WAP.

3.  You can use numeric shortcuts, ie. Menu 21 to go to missed calls, Menu 56 to go to calculator, Menu 731 to go to Java Games, etc...

4.  Press and hold side key to light up the external screen.

5.  To delete dowloaded ringtones or wallpaper or pics, press menu 72 (Menu, Funbox, Media box). Select 'Images' or 'Sounds', view the pic or play the ringtone you wish to delete. Go to 'Options' and delete from there.

6.  Remember the card/phone memory number for a name and then type in '#' (hash key).  For example, if 'john' has been saved 'in card 25' then you would type... 25#.

7.  When using handsfree kit, holding the button on the voice mic for a couple of seconds will redial the last number dialed on the phone.

8.  To have alarm ring when the phone is off, press menu 5,  5, (Menu, Organizer, Alarm). Then enable Auto power.

9.  For silent mode, press and hold the '#' (hash key).

10. Deleting multiple pics at one go.  Move the pics you want to save to 'My Album', go to 'Delete all', then do a delete all of 'My Photos'.

11. You can use IrDA to send / receive contacts. 

12. You can't turn off the camera sound, (for obvious reasons), but you can set it to the more pleasant chiming sound.  Go to Camera, 1 (Take photos), Options, 6 (Settings), 3 (Shutter sound) and select 'Resonant'.

13. The E700 has a voice memo recorder but you can access it only by creating a new MMS.  Go to Menu, 2 (Multimedia message), 2 (New message), Sound, 1 (Record new).  Record, name the Sound file, then exit.   The go to Fun box, 2 (Media box), 1 (Voices), and your Voice file will be stored there.

14.  "If you press the camera key inside the phone it brings up the camera menu but if you keep it pressed down it takes you

15.  "Regarding E700 picture size. The correct picture size is actually 128 x 126 , thereby wallpapers can stretch fully to the screen, ( and avoid the gaps at the sides)." - Thanks to Denim Guy!
