THE SUN
Description
A naked
child sits upon a white horse. The child is waving an orange banner in
victory. The sun flowers are in bloom and the sun is shining.
The sun's rays take up more that half of the card suggesting that the sun
is the focus of attention in the card, more than the child and the horse
who are basking in it's rays.
The child
and the horse represent freedom and purity and as the banner is like a
war banner, I believe it is representing the truimph over the moon.
Just as there was night in the Moon card, so to there must be day - clearly
this is illustrated in the progression in the Tarot from the Moon to the
Sun.
This is
a positive image -one that suggests purity and hope.
Divinatory
Meaning
The Sun
is a good card to see in a reading. It tells of good times coming
and times that are going to be joyous for everyone. It is a good
card for family and friends and it is also a card that lets the person
know that the bad times are behind them. When asking a yes or no
question, this card means that the answer will certainly be yes.
This is one of the lucky cards in the deck and one that can always be read
favourably.
