Essential Oil Tips

Aromatherapy: aro·ma·ther·a·py - noun - The use of volatile plant oils, including essential oils, for psychological and physical well-being.

Essential oils are concentrated, fragrant substances extract from plant sources. They are commonly used for aromatherapy applications such as air diffusion and body application.


BOTTLE OF OIL
  • For great smelling sheets, towels and clothes, put a few drops of your favorite essential oil on a small piece of cloth and throw in the dryer.

  • To relieve mental fatique at the office, put a few drops of rosemary or peppermint oil on a tissues and breathe the scent.

  • For a stuffy nose add 2 drops of eucalyptus oil, 2 drops of rosemary and 1 drop of peppermint oil in a vial that has 1 tablespoon of rock salt. Inhale and feel that passages open up.

  • Relaxing oils - lavender, ylang-ylang, sandalwood

  • Energizing oils - rosemary, peppermint, geranium, lemon, lime

  • Uplifting oils - bergamot, orange, patchouli

  • Antiseptic oils - tea tree, eucalyptus, lavender

  • Muscle aches oils - eucalyptus, lavender, rosemary

    Carrier Oil Tips

  • For Massage - Use 1 oz. of carrier oil to 15 drops of essential oils

  • For Facial Oil - Use 1 oz. of carrier oil to 25 drops of essential oils.

  • For Hair or Scalp - Use 1 oz. of carrier oil to 25 drops of essential oils.
