Week 2: At Tom's!

It was about a 4-hour drive from Devon to Stone in total. Tom and his family live in Stone, Staffordshire (midlands). Here I am with Tom, Vicki, Jane, and their dog, Scouse.

When I arrived, I took it easy for the first night. Here is their house: my home for a week! It is very lovely!

While I was there, I saw several things. I made a pot and flowers at the Gladstone Pottery Museum, played pool and quiz at the pub. I got to visit some stately homes: Sandon Hall and Shugborough Estate (below).

The second match of Euro 2000 was on that Saturday vs. Germany. We watched it in the pub and England won one (for a change…hehe). The following morning we all headed out to Alton Towers for the day. This is one of the main theme parks in the country. It has some decent rides and it was an overall good day out. The Log Flume was fun and we got soaked. It wasn't so much from the ride but from splashing each other so much! The teacup ride gave us a good spin as well. Here we are riding the tame (in my opinion) pirate ship..can you spot us?

On Monday Jane, Vicki and I went to Bournville to see Cadbury World. LOADS of chocolate there and I made out with some nice purchases! Here I am expressing my love for Cadbury's Roses.

The chocolate smell was to die for! I then proceded to the shop. In this picture I am surrounded by yummy goodies. I couldn't take it all home with me because it wouldn't fit in my suitcase so I just bought £32 worth of chocolate to take home. Yummmmm!

Tuesday was spent on police patrol with Tom. That day is featured on the Patrol page! After taking the train back down from Scotland I spent my final night at Tom's before flying out of Manchester. Here I am sipping my last glass of John Smiths in THE computer room.

Tom took this shot with his computer cam. That drink is GONE! Uhh..it's Coke mom...honest! ;)

That same night Scouse came into the room and posed with me for this photo! Lovely!

After I arrived for my final evening we went to a nice Chinese restaurant for "the last supper". It was lush and I do love that crispy duck! Here we're still "messing about" in the computer room.

These family shots were taken on the morning of my departure. *sob* But more on that later..I still have all of Scotland to show you! But first, have a look at my day with the Staffordshire Police!

Let's go on Patrol!
