"Isyu Sana Man!"
By Bibi Villamora
Nineteen
ninety-eight came and is gone, and 1999 is almost midway through, it seems
that my administration went by so swiftly. I guess the old maxim that "time
passes so quickly when one is having a good time" remains true to form
even to this day.
Looking back, we can all say
that our organization remains a leader in innovation as we continue to
blaze the trail in many endeavors. From the award winning "harong kan pobreng
parasira" to the jeepney terminal that we built last year, to the Himoragat
choir that we started years back, and to the Centennial Drama tribute,
remains in the forefront of innovation. Iyan an pigsasabing what we call,
Salamat tabi saindo gabos.
In as much as I wanted to run
again for the Mayorship this year, I must also think about other things
that might prevent me from doing an effective job as TIASCA's top dog.
Kaya, nagpahunod na ako.
Looking at the Mayoral candidates
for this year's election, maski siisay duman sa duwang ito, magiging marhay
kan TIASCA and to the other newly elected officers. More power to all of
you!
Congratulations man ki amigong
yaon man guiraray an saiyang pagdamay asin pagtabang sa organisasyon. Arog
kaiyan an maorag na tawo asin marhay na panalmingan. Tataong magintiendi
na an eleccion guiniguibo sanaman sa sarong aldaw asin ta paka-agui kaiyan,
tapos naman an boxing. The day after, poon na an pagtarabangan bilang mga
ciudadanong nagmamakolog sa organisasyon.
Duman sa Tinambac, haloy nang
tapos an eleccion segui pa an boroksingan. Kaya kon ika an Meyor duman,
For once, ano
ta dae magtarabangan an mga Tinambaqueños pagkatapos kan eleccion
para sa karahayan kan banwaan? Sa pagheling ko, kon pigpapararaot an pamayo
kan banwaan sa print media or radio, banwaan man sana an pigkakastigo kaiyan.
Dae ko man pigsasabi na pabayaan na sanang mag-abuso an siisay man na opisyal
Alagad, kon an katuyohan magraot sana man, siguro maski saen na anggulo
man nangangahologan na patal siyang magpadalagan kan banwaan. Isipon ta
na siya an tinawan nin onra kan mga namamanwaan na mamayo, kaya tawan man
nin panahon na magpaheling kan saiyang kakayahan. Total, sincero man na
tawo si Itoy Velarde kaya kon puede, ceasefire ngona.

FLASH!! The century-old
icon of San Pascual Baylon was stolen from the Tinambac Parish Church sometime
in the first week of July. This was the report filed by Rev. Fr.
Mario “Yoyo” Gaite to the Philippine National Police headquarters and the
National Bureau of Investigations (NBI) in Naga City last week. Both
the NBI and the PNP have launched a manhunt for the perpetuators of this
dastardly act. According to Fr. Gaite, exactly one month before the patron
saint’s disappearance, San Pascual’s gold-plated halo and
Monstrance were also stolen.
Fr. Gaite is puzzled
as to its disappearance, but he did not rule out the possibility that the
icon was stolen because of its value being a century-old antique.
