My Housing and Some Furnishings
I was born at Alta Bates Hospital in 1981 at Berkeley, California and lived in El Cerrito for 5 years before moving to Napa, California in 1986.
I currently reside in Napa California in the county area with about 30-10 families every square mile.
On a two acre property with livestock, a dog, and some geese, I live in a room provided by my parents in Napa, California, which is in a 2040 square foot house. My individual room is approx. 305 square feet. I would have moved out 2 years ago with a friend had there been a very cheep apartment for rent in Napa, but Napa is an expensive place to live, even for two people living, working and paying in the same shelter.
We built the house ourselves out of supplies from the local Lumber yards and hardware stores, namely ACE and Central Valley. Later we added on a Heating/Cooling unit because our wood burning stove did not cool the house in summer. We clean the furnishings and repair the broken things ourselves.
Our house is pretty cluttered looking, but relatively clean, however my personal room is quite cluttered with many items. My room has 2 computer screens, 3 computer towers, 4 gutted flat computer cases, one laptop computer, 2 dead computer printers (one used as a night stand), an alarm clock, several boxes of HO model railroad equipment and track, computer speakers, a working printer, several movies, over 100 music and game and software CD’s total, several boxes of computer software information and material. A desk with 4- 2.5'x2.5'x6" drawers and 4- 1'x2.5'x6" drawers, along with 3'x3'x2.5' of foot space. A second desk with a desk lamp, vase, phonebook, pencil/pen mug, a phone, broken computer parts, Re-Writeable computer CD's, books, and a dictionary on it. 4 sitting chairs, 3 computer chairs, a clothes dresser (home made 20 years + old), a bookcase full of books, an unplugged TV, disused coffee table on it's side, big box of cardboard boxes, old school stereo system with phonograph, 2 large floor speaker boxes, a very large "4 seasons" bed, a rug on top of the painted subfloor, filing cabinet, art supplies, big pile of electronics and wires and dismantled electric things, launch-able model rockets, a calendar, personal art I made, old framed art pictures from relatives as gifts, 2 gunracks, 1 plastic recurve bow for kids, 3 wooden recurve bows of varied strengths, .22 gun, pellet airgun, BB airgun, antique hunting arrows, reference charts, memorabilia of friends and places I visited (self made), unmounted wall speaker system, art projects, drafting table, deer antler hat rack received as gift from grandparent, filing cabinet, broken remote control car, a wooden stump, 3 storage caddy's of disused CD’s and diskettes, etc...
As you can tell, my room is a cluttered bunch of things, mostly computer things. I am very much into computer things and have built the ones mentioned myself (except for the laptop).
