ISSUE ONE, 3/1/99 Hi ya! I thought I
would add this news section to the web site for a few
reasons: First of all- To
report any news on upcoming products Toy Hell will be
carrying, to inform you of toy shortages on certain items,
upcoming contests we'll be sponsoring, toy shows that we'll
be attending. Secondly- to answer
any frequently asked questions and offer our perspective on
the what toys are worth grabbing. If there's anything
else you'd like discussed here go ahead and send me an
email. Later, -DKN- madbeanz@yahoo.com BIG TROUBLE IN
LITTLE ITALY Transformer
Obliterators
will no longer be sold! Why? Our operative in Little Italy
explains: "A punch to the
face. Then a kick to the groin. I was down for the count.
When I dragged my corpse from the ground they were gone! All
gone! The three cases of Transformer Obliterators were
taken! But why!?! Why had they taken the toys and NOT ME!?!
WHY!?! " Whether or not this
account is accurate, the truth remains that all the
Transformer Obliterators are gone. -DKN- FATE OF THE
TRANSFORMER
JUNIORS
!!! Transformer Juniors
will soon be completely unavaliable!!! As savvy toy
collectors I'm sure you are aware of the value of the
Transformer
3-packs we've
been selling here at Toy Hell. There was a time that they
sold nicely at $80 each. That was until a poor Japanese wood
carver in Brussels stumbled upon the find of the century- a
half warehouse full of Transformer Junior 3 packs.
The details are
sketchy but these Transformers found their way to Los
Angeles where they were distributed between several of the
major toy dealers. They sold well and fast at fairly high
prices until an anonymous informant published an article
proclaiming that the Transformer Juniors were available in
large quantities and were no longer the rare item they had
once been. The price dropped from $80 to $50 and then down
to $20 at competitive institutions such as Toy Hell and
Anime Playground. However, more
recently, the distributors purchasing and importing the
Juniors made the startling discovery that the supply was
gone. No, a wormhole in the fabric of reality did not
swallow them up. It's not that interesting a story. It's
just simply that they were all sold. Therefore I regret
to inform you that Toy Hell's supply of Transformer Junior 3
packs will soon be entirely gone. But before that we will
raise the price from $20 to $30 and then to $40. So don't be
surprised. This price change will take effect in early April
or perhaps sooner. -DKN-
