June 10, 2002 - Monday
Warm and sunny day, just perfect.
After I signed off last night Fumihiko and I went back out. We went to the mall,
where I spoiled him by buying him some new clothes. I also bought myself some too,
so I felt happy. Then we went to see a movie. It was a silly one, but we both enjoyed
it a lot. The Scorpion King isn't Shakespeare, by a longshot, but it was fun.
Then we drove around for a while and found a place to stay.
This morning we slept in, which was really nice. Then we went for breakfast/lunch.
We ended up going to a fancy and expensive French restaurant. The food was great,
but it wasn't really what I was in the mood for.
After lunch we decided to go to the Domon Ken Photography Museum. We walked around
and looked at the photos. I had been there before, but Fumihiko hadn't, so he really
enjoyed looking at the photographs. There were a few that I didn't really understand though. I don't know if it's art to take a normal picture of something that is art.
Does that make sense? He had taken some full length shots of statues against a
black background. Did he add anything to the process? I dunno.
We drove back to Tsuruoka and went to a hundred yen shop as I needed a few things
for school. Then we drove to Asahi Village to go to the cake shop that is always
closed. Guess what? This time it was closed too!
We drove home and Fumihiko tried to set up our new BS antenna, but he couldn't get
it to work. Then, as he was still fighting with his Mum, we went out for dinner.
When we came home, he went off to take his bath, and I wrote this. I had a great
and amazing weekend. I hope yours was too!
Night.
