June 16, 2002 - Sunday
Mostly sunny, but with a few scattered rain showers in the afternoon and evening.
We had a putzy sort of day today. It made a nice change from last weekend. I was
bone tired last night and so I slept in. Fumihiko got up early, but ended up coming
back to bed too and we slept till around 11. His Mum went out to visit a friend
and so we had the house to ourselves. We ate breakfast and set to work cleaning the barbeques
that we used at the party a couple of weeks ago. Fumihiko did do most of the work,
but I helped him a bit too. We relaxed and sat outside in the shade for a while
after we were done. I went to the vending machines and got us pop and some ice cream.
We sat outside and talked. It was very cool and laid back.
We got hungry later and decided to go out for supper. We went to Kintaro sushi, where
we ate lots of sushi. It was delicious.
Then we went to the apartment to watch a DVD that one of my students loaned me....Kiki's
Delivery Service. It was by the same director as Princess Mononoke and My Friend
Totoro. It was really sweet and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Then we watched Will and
Grace on video and came home.
Today was nice. Not a lot of rushing around, just relaxing and enjoying ourselves.
