February 15, 2003- Saturday

A warm day with light rain in the evening.

This morning I had a very hard time getting out of bed! Fumihiko had set the alarm for 9:30 but I didn't hear it. Around 10 he started to make noise to get me up, but I just got cranky! I finally got up and then when he asked if we could have gyudon for breakfast, I nearly bit his head off! I didn't want that. Instead, we went to Mosburger where I had salad and a burger sans bun. It was great actually. I liked it much more than gyudon.

Work was fine. Almost all of my students came today. One of my two hour classes was quite strange, one student came for the first hour, and the other student came for the second hour! I taught the same thing twice in two hours! In my final class of the day, a student came one and a half hours late. Was I angry? No, she'd called and told us that she'd be late in advance.

After work, Fumihiko picked me up and we went out. We were planning on going to a yakitori restaurant near our house by bicycle, but it was raining. So, we decided to go to an izakaya, Dan. It was really nice. We ate kimchi nabe, steak, asparagus and bacon, spare ribs, steak and a few veggies for good measure. Yum.

Then, we went over to karaoke and sang for 2 hours. My voice is quite raw now, but it was a lot of fun. I sang everything from Queen to Eric Carmen and Cheap Trick to Connie Francis. It was great! After a great 2 hours Fumihiko and I came home by Daiko, the "we drive your car home" service. He'd had a couple of beers so he couldn't drive. I of course didn't drink, but I can't drive anyway, so it was better to let the professionals bring us back!

And that was it. I'm a bit tired and it's after 3 am, so I really should get some sleep. However, I've been having so much fun today that I don't want it to end! But, I suppose, I really should sleep. Night night!
