Cold and snowy.
Today was okay. We slept in late and then we went for lunch in the Hotel Rich in Sakata. They have a fairly decent lunch buffet, so that's what we had. After that we went to Mikawa to see a movie. The only movie playing that we hadn't seen yet was Timeline, so that's what we went to. Before the movie though, we had an hour to kill so we went to the game center and played coin games. Well, I had unbelievably good luck and won the jackpot twice in about 20 minutes! I didn't get all that many coins, a lot stuck in the machine, but I ended up keeping more than 400 for the next time we play!
The movie was okay. It was interesting seeing Billy Connolly again, and I quite liked the little bit about the Scots versus the English in the film. However, the film itself wasn't great. It was fun, and passed the time away quite nicely, but it wasn't "great." I hear that the movie is much changed from the book.
When the movie finished we went to Seattle's Best coffee for a drink and then walked around the hardware store. I looked at videos for most of our time there, although I didn't buy any.
Then, we went to our favourite restaurant in Mikawa. It was really nice and we had wild duck as the main dish, with lots of fish and salad and soup. It was all really delicious. Fumihiko had crepe for dessert. He didn't get around to making a reservation for us there, so I didn't get to have dessert. I tried to ask him many times, but he was pretty busy this week.
We came home in the snow. When we came upstairs we made our beds and then worked on a my new jigsaw. We were supposed to be watching a movie at the same time, but I have the feeling that Fumihiko didn't watch the movie at all.
He's gone to take his bath and when he comes back I'll go and take my shower. Then tomorrow I'll go to work as usual.
I have a work/birthday party after work tomorrow night, so I won't likely update tomorrow night. We may also go to Sendai or Niigata if we get up early enough on Sunday, so there may not be an entry until Monday night. Don't worry about us, don't send frantic email, I'll write more when I can.
Night night!
