October 4, 2004 - Monday

Cloudy, with a touch of rain.

A very different day. This morning Fumihiko went and got his hair cut, then had some photos taken. He came home and we went out again to go to Akita. He missed the deadline for an exam that he has to take, so he has to go up to Honjo in Akita to take it again in a couple of months. He needed to get an entry form and to find out where the place is.

We did some business at the bank and the post office on the way there, then had lunch in Sakata at M's Dining. It was okay, but not great.

The drive was nice and we found the fire hall after a bit of searching. Fumihiko got his form and then we drove to the place where the test would be. He'll likely have to stay in a hotel the night before the test. We're discussing whether I should go with him or not.

When we left Honjo, we stopped at a place called Herb World and had a look around. It was gorgeous. I ended up buying a lot of different teas and incense, and Fumihiko bought me a lovely glass teapot. It's perfect for making herb teas.

We stopped at Mikawa Mall to see if there were any movies we wanted to see, but in all honesty, there weren't. We had dinner at the mall--shabu-shabu and then came home and watched the last episode of Twin Peaks. Oh my. We thought there would be more than just 7 episodes, but that's all there was, plus the bonus features. We watched a few of those.

Oh, before I forget....I bought a desk! It's nothing fancy, just a folding table and chair, but I've got my computer up on it right now and I love it! It's great. I feel very comfortable, much more comfortable than when I sat on the zaizu on the floor. I feel more professional somehow!

Tomorrow I'll be back to work. Sigh. I don't really want to go back, but hopefully I'll have a good day. I'll talk to you tomorrow. Night night.
